WUMS App 3.0.6: the inspection is kept, even without a connection

Version 3.0.6 has been available since 28 September. It brings the change that was asked for most often: a vehicle inspection is no longer lost when there is no connection.

Stored and sent automatically

The inspection is stored encrypted on the device together with its photos and marked damages, and sent automatically: on every start, when the app is reopened, through “Retry now”, and every minute while something is waiting. The ticket carries the time of the inspection, not the time it was sent.

No duplicate ticket: before every new attempt the app checks whether the first one did arrive and only the answer was lost. In that case the existing ticket is used.

What the banner says

Waiting inspections show in amber: “Inspection saved, not sent yet (N)”. Please do not sign out while it is showing — signing out deletes the stored data. Vehicle handover and repair orders still need a connection: the inspection is stored, the order has to be created later. The app says so.

Dependable photo uploads

The photo upload counter is dependable too: if a transfer gets stuck in the system, the app notices by itself and sends the photo again.
